Grand Iftar Banquet - Ramadan 2014

Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA) hosted a large and traditional Grand Iftar Banquet (Ramadan 2014) which was held on Friday, the 18th Jul-2014 from 4:00 pm in Kuwait Teachers Society, Dasma, Kuwait. H.E Shri Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India to Kuwait was the Chief Guest of this grand event along with our Special Guest, Moulavi Abdul Basith Bukhari, young and energetic Islamic scholar from Chennai and dignitaries from Embassy of India to Kuwait and many more personalities from different communities adorned this program.

This Event was main sponsored by M/s. TVS  Travel & Cargo Services and M/s. Najlaa International General Trading & Contracting Co., and Co-sponsored by M/s. Al-Yasra Food Co. Around 1100 brothers attended the Iftar and graced the function.

Part - 1

The program Hall was full well by 4.15 p.m. itself and the event started at 4:30 p.m with recitation of the Holy Quran and its translation by Master. Youseff, 12th Std. student followed by a brief opening address by Br. Naser Sadik Rabbani, Religious Secretary. ‘Poolangal’ Br. Saguber Ali, General Secretary, TMCA initiated the program and staged Master of ceremony.  ‘Karaikkal’ Br. S.M. Arif Maricar, Vice-President, welcomed all the attendees and special guests.

‘Vittukatti’ Br. Sheik Mastan, Media Secretary, presented a wonderful poem (kavithai) on Ramadhan – Its importance and our dedication to it.

Our Special Guest, Moulavi Abdul Basith Bukhari delivered amazing  address concentrating on world-wide Islamic affairs with special reference to Gaza / Palestine, highlighting the importance of preserving and maintaining social unity and solidarity among our Ummah citing historical events and true teachings of Islam and Sunnah.

‘Nachikulam’ and ‘TVS’ Br. Alaudeen, President gave presidential address underlining various activities of TMCA with its future vision.

Part - 2

English part of this program has been well staged by ‘Peruvalanallur’ Br. Hidayathullah, our eminent Events Co-ordination Secretary and proudly our Secretary-General, FIMA.

‘Ayyampet’ Br. Avoor Basheer Ahamed, former President with great pleasure welcomed all Invitees and Guests.  ‘Eravanchery’ Br. Shahul Hameed former Treasurer, briefly summed-up activities of TMCA in English requesting whole-hearted support to TMCA’s Education programs towards Literary advancement encouraging the attendees to enroll as members of TMCA and actively involve in social services.

One of active brother of Net Achievers Forum (NAF) briefly presented Islamic program insisting our duties and responsibilities towards Islam and Ummah.

Br. Siddeeque Valiyakath, President, Federation of Indian Muslim Associations (FIMA), our strongest supporter since its inception holding strong social relationship since two decades with TMCA gladly felicitated our program as a very important Guest.

H.E Shri Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India, Kuwait was the Chief Guest and delivered his esteemed oratory felicitating this grand Iftar program appreciating TMCA’s activities to community welfare.

Part - 3

KAC Pilot Instructor and Captain, ‘Chennai’ Br. Abdul Rahim Abbas, Head of our TMCA Education Unit, nicely conducted Momento Presentation Ceremony calling on H.E Shri Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India, to present Memento honouring our Main Sponsors – ‘Muthupet’ Br. S.M. Hyder Ali, Chairman, M/s. TVS Travels & Cargo Co., (TVS Hyder Group) and Br. Shahul Hameed, Sr. Manager (Marketing & Sales) received on behalf of M/s. Najlaa International General Trading & Contracting Co., and Br. Zahiruddin, our Principal Co-ordinator, received on behalf of our Co-Sponsor, M/s. Al-Yasra Food Co., in the presence of TMCA Executive committee.
 

TMCA Executive Committee had a great moment having given an opportunity to honour His Excellency, Shri. Sunil Jain for having been with us as our Chief Guest felicitating our Grand Iftar Banquet, TMCA - now in its 19th year of existence and did so.

TMCA Executive Committee had great pleasure inviting eminent Officials from our Embassy of India to Kuwait and presenting our Memento of Thanks and Appreciation for their enduring support to TMCA and its community services. 

Shri. Shubashis Goldar, Deputy Chief of Mission and Chief Public Information Officer and Shri. J.S. Dangi, Second Secretary-Consular and Shri. A.K. Srivastava, Second-Secretary – Press, Information & Culture and Shri. Madan Prakash Bhartiya, Official are honoured for having felicitated our Grand Iftar Banquet.

TMCA had the pleasure of honouring Br. Faizal Mohammed, Managing Director of Man-o-Salwa Restaurant, Murgab, Kuwait City for his extra-ordinary support and co-operation to our Association so long these years and presented a Momento of Thanks and Appreciation.

On behalf of TMCA, H.E Shri Sunil Jain, Ambassador of India honoured by presenting memento to our Co-ordination Council (CC) members - ‘Erumapatti’ Br. Khaleel Rahman, (Secretary – Membership Drive Team of TMCA), ‘Pullambadi’ Br. Abdul Kareem (Joint Secretary of TMCA) and ‘Erumapatti’ Br. Nainar Mohamed (Assistant Treasurer of TMCA), ‘Chennai’ Br. Mohamed Mohideen (Joint Secretary of TMCA) and ‘Puduattur’ Br. Mubarak Ali (Religious Secretary of TMCA)  for their exceptional services and support to TMCA in the presence of TMCA Executive Committee and our Special Guests.

Finally, ‘Peruvalanallur’ Br. Hidayathullah delivered Vote of thanks. He expressed sincere gratitude for all the participants and Chief and Special Guests and Invocation by Sheik Abdul Basith Al-Bukhari.  Iftar Banquet and Dinner was served to everyone and this program was once again most professional and memorable one.

It is worth to mention that TMCA’s Working Committee and all its Co-ordination Council members, Founders and Advisers alongside its Executive Committee have extended their good rapport and cooperation in the successful conduct of this Event from the beginning to end and in the arrangements earlier.  TMCA would like to express its sincere thanks and gratitude to ALL who have participated in our Grand Iftar Banquet and assures everyone of you, by its experience being gained from time-to-time, exerting more efforts to conduct things at its best and to the satisfaction of ALL, insha Allah.  And it also always seeks ALL OF YOUR continuous support and co-operation in better serving our brethren.  Jazak ALLAH khair…
